INTRODUCTION

Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • Consider the following scenario. You have a Rich Text Format (RTF) e-mail message in Outlook 2002 that contains multiple attachments. One or more of the attachments that are contained in the e-mail message are blocked. Additionally, the PR_RENDERING_POSITION property for these attachments was set programmatically.

In this scenario, the attachments may be rendered in the wrong position in the e-mail message.

This problem may occur because the PR_RENDERING_POSITION property is used for the positioning in the attachments. However, this property should not be used. Instead, the attachment tags that are embedded in the RTF text should be used.
