SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 SDK, when you use the Windows.external.MediaCenter.Experience.MediaProperty("Duration") method to retrieve the duration value of a video, the method always returns a value of 00:00:00.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a Microsoft Windows Media Player object to load a video and read the duration value.
