Error message when you install the update version 2.2 for Dungeon Siege II: "Error 15 - Old File does not exist" (918305)

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, manually add the Sound1.ds2res file to the Resources folder. Then, install the update again. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Insert Disc 3 of Dungeon Siege II in the CD or DVD drive.
2. Click Start, and then click My Computer.
3. Double-click the CD or DVD drive that contains Disc 3.
4. Double-click the File folder.
5. Double-click the Resources folder.
6. Select the Sound1.ds2res file, and then click Copy on the Edit menu.
7. Locate and then open the following folder:

   C:\Program Files\Microsoft games\Dungeon Siege 2\Resources\

8. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
9. Install the update.
