The order in which certificates appear on the Certificates tab may change when you import a vCard file in Outlook 2003 (917123)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, when you add a contact by importing a vCard file, the order in which certificates appear on the Certificates tab of the Outlook contact card may change. For example, if you save a contact as a vCard file and then import the vCard file, the default certificate may appear as the last certificate. This certificate appeared as the first certificate before you imported the vCard file.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, change the order of the certificates on the Certificates tab so that the default certificate appears as the last certificate. Make sure that you do this before you save the vCard file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
