SYMPTOMS

You are using a multiprocessor computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1). When you use resource management software that allocates CPU resources to applications or to authentication services, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the operation may fail.

This problem occurs when you try to modify the IdealProcessor property of a given thread by using resource management software.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Secure32.dll file is stuck in an exclusive acquire operation for a resource that has already been acquired for shared access and has been abandoned. The abandoning thread has released the wrong resource because of the change in the IdealProcessor property.
