The map screen flickers when you try to track your position on the Earth by using a GPS device in Streets & Trips (916835)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to track your position on the Earth by using a GPS device in Microsoft Streets & Trips, the map screen flickers.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the display hardware acceleration is set too high.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type desk.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
  3. On the Troubleshoot tab, move the slider for Hardware acceleration toward the left to reduce it.
  4. Click Apply, and then click OK two times.
