SYMPTOMS

When you try to install Groove Virtual Office from the Groove Networks Web site, you receive the following error message:
The requested item has a MIME type that is blocked by the proxy.
This issue occurs if the proxy is configured to block .exe files. Your company may configure the network in this manner to prevent the installation of unauthorized software.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, talk to your network administrator. Alternatively, contact Microsoft to request a Groove Virtual Office CD.
