SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You run Groove on a Microsoft Windows 98-based computer. You use the Add Files function in the Groove Files tool or in the Groove Pictures tool to select many files to copy. If you select more files than the system can currently handle, the selections are canceled. However, you do not receive an error message.

Note On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows Server 2000, you receive an error message that states that you must select fewer files.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Windows 98 cannot display the error message as long as a dialog box, such as the Add Files dialog box, is open.
