MORE INFORMATION

When you record a payment from the checking account, Money records the payment in the credit card account as a transfer. Therefore, you do not have to manually record the same information two times.

Note When you charge a transaction to a credit card, you are borrowing against your future earnings. Therefore, Money categorizes a payment to a credit card as a transfer.

When you make a credit card payment by check, the transaction may appear in the register as a withdrawal by using the Credit Card Payment category. However, the Credit Card Payment category is used to create budgets in the planning features of Money.
