SYMPTOMS

A participant in the Discussion tool can delete a topic that contains responses from other participants in Groove Workspace 2.0.

MORE INFORMATION

Participants in a shared space can usually no longer delete their topics after other participants have saved responses to those topics.

However, in the Discussion tool in Groove Workspace 2.0 and in earlier versions of Groove, these topics and the responses from other participants can be deleted under certain circumstances. Consider the following scenario:

You click Delete to delete a topic that you created. Groove verifies whether the deletion is permissible. If the deletion is permissible, a confirmation dialog box appears. Then, another participant creates and saves a response to your topic before you respond to the dialog box. When you then respond to the dialog box, the topic and the other participant's response are deleted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to Groove Workspace 2.1.
