INTRODUCTIONThis
article describes the
workspace data synchronization process
that occurs in Groove Virtual Office and in Groove Workspace.MORE INFORMATIONSynchronization of workspace data is an ongoing process. As
soon as any online member of a workspace adds data to that workspace, updates
are sent to the other workspace members on each of their computers. When you
have an account that is shared across two computers, your changes are sent
from one computer to another, just as they are sent to other members of the
workspace.
You can determine whether there is incoming data or
outgoing data associated with a workspace by looking at the workspace in
Communications Manager. This method is sufficient when you want to monitor
typical activity. However, a complete communications failure before the data is saved
would also leave the remote computer unaware that there should be incoming
data. The only way to make sure that your changes were delivered from one
computer to another is to manually see whether the data is on
each computer.
