SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based servers that have Terminal Server enabled are in Terminal Services Session Directory mode.
- You enable the Restrict each user to one session setting.
- You configure the Initial program setting on the terminal servers.
In this scenario, you may find that the session redirection function does not work correctly. Additionally, after one account is used to establish a Terminal Service session on one server, later sessions that are made by this same account cannot be redirected to this server from other terminal servers in same session directory.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
