SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You have a Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 management point server that is running Microsoft Windows 2000. You upgrade the SMS 2003 management point server to Microsoft Windows Server 2003. However, after the upgrade, the management point no longer works.

CAUSE

This issue is caused by a change, during the upgrade process, to the Client Configuration Manager (CCM) virtual directories ISAPI extension verbs.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in SMS 2003 Service Pack 2.
