Xbox 360: You receive the "Can't verify your original Xbox information. Please make sure you've entered it correctly" error message (911534)

THINGS TO TRY

1. Obtain the account information from the Xbox Live Dashboard on the original Xbox console to use for the Xbox 360 console. To obtain the account information from the original Xbox console, follow these steps:
   1. On the Xbox Live Dashboard, press the B button.
   2. Select the account for which you want to obtain the details, and then press the A button to return to the Xbox Live Dashboard.
   3. Select Account Management, and then press the A button.
   4. On the Account Management screen, select Credit Card. You receive the following message: Enter the last four digits of the credit card used for this Xbox Live account.
   5. Press the A button to select OK.
   6. Use the on-screen numeric keypad to enter the last four digits of your credit card, select Done, and then press the A button to view the Credit Card screen.
   7. Your account information appears on the Credit Card screen. Write down the information that appears in the following fields:
      • Payment Method
      • Cardholder Name
      • Credit Card Number
      • Expiration Date
      • Phone Number
      Important Make sure that you copy this information exactly as it appears on the screen.
   8. Select Continue, and then press the A button to view the Billing Address screen. Write down the information that appears in the following fields:
      • Street Address
      • City
      • State/Province
      • Postal Code
      • E-mail Address
      Important Make sure that you copy this information exactly as it appears on the screen.
      
      Note The Postal Code field is not applicable for Hong Kong or for New Zealand.
   9. Select Done, and then press the A button to return to the Account Management screen.
2. After you obtain the appropriate information, try to recover the account on the Xbox 360 console again.
   
   Important Make sure that you enter the information exactly as it appeared in the Dashboard of the original Xbox console.
