Access the Xbox Live message center from the Xbox Dashboard

  1. In the Xbox Live section of the Dashboard, select Messages.
  2. In the Xbox Live message center, you can select from the following tabs:
    • Messages
      On the Messages tab, you can send a text message, send a private chat invite, send a game invite, or send a friend request.
    • Friends
      On the Friends tab, you can manage your Friends list.
    • Players
      On the Players tab, you can view your most recent opponents on Xbox Live.

Access the Xbox Live message center from a pop-up message

  1. When you receive a message, a pop-up window appears in the lower-right corner the screen. Click the pop-up window to move to the message center.
  2. In the Xbox Live message center, you can select the Messages tab, the Friends tab, or the Players tab.

Access the Xbox Live message center from the Xbox Guide

  1. Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller.
  2. In the Xbox Guide, select Community.

    Note The Community option changes to Messages after you select it.
  3. In the Xbox Live message center, you can select the Messages tab, the Friends tab, or the Players tab.
