Xbox 360: The console automatically restarts (911152)

SYMPTOMS

The Xbox 360 console automatically restarts for no noticeable reason.

CAUSE

This issue may occur for several reasons. These include the following:
  • The On button is pressed.
  • The Guide button on the controller or the remote controller is accidentally pressed.
  • The Xbox 360 Hard Drive is not correctly installed.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Make sure that the Guide buttons and the on/power button for the console are not pressed, and then restart the console.
  2. Turn off the console.

  4. Restart the console.
