Disk Management does not open when you double-click Disk Management(Local) in the Computer Management snap-in in Windows Server 2003 (911148)

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Windows Server 2003, nothing occurs when you double-click Disk Management(Local) in the right pane of the Computer Management Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in.
For example, when you open Computer Management, and then click Storage in the left pane, Disk Management(Local) appears in the right pane of the snap-in as a yellow folder. When you double-click the yellow folder, Disk Management does not open.
When you click Disk Management in the left pane of Computer Management, Disk Management opens correctly.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, click Disk Management in the left pane of Computer Management. Alternatively, click Start, click Run, type diskmgmt.msc, and then click OK.
