Xbox: How to join an NHL 06 game on Xbox Live (908851)

Join a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Game Modes, and then press the A button.
2. On the Game Modes screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button to view the Sign In screen.
3. On the Sign In screen, press the D-pad left or right to select the Gamertag that you want to use, and then press the A button to view the Xbox Live screen.
4. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Quick Match or select OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

You can use the Quick Match option to search for a game, and then decide whether to join the game immediately or to search for another game.

1. After you select Quick Match on the Xbox Live screen, NHL 06 searches for game to play.
   • If a game is found, the Quick Match screen lists the game information. Press the A button to join the game.
   • If no game is found, you view the Search screen. Press the A button to return to the Xbox Live screen.

OptiMatch

You can use the OptiMatch option to specify your game preferences, and then search for games that match those preferences.

1. On the OptiMatch screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options:
   • Game Type: Any, Unranked, Ranked
   • Game Speed: Any, Slow, Medium, Fast
   • Max DNF%: Any, 5% - 95%
   • Skill Level: Any, Only My Skill Level, Within 3 Levels, Within 5 Levels, Within 7 Levels, Within 10 Levels, Within 20 Levels
   Press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for each option.
2. After you configure your options, press the D-pad up or down to select Search, and then press the A button to search for a game.
3. If any games are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the game that you want to join, and then press the A button to join that game. If no game is found, you view the Search screen. Press the A button to return to the Xbox Live screen.
