Xbox: How to join a Star Wars: Battlefront II game on Xbox Live (908416)

Star Wars: Battlefront II is an Xbox Live Aware title. Live Aware means that the game automatically signs you in to Xbox Live when you start the game.

Join a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Multiplayer, and then press the A button.
2. On the Multiplayer screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button to view the Ready screen.
3. On the Ready screen, press the A button to view the Xbox Live screen.
4. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Quick Match or OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

You can use the Quick Match option to search for a game and then decide whether to join the game immediately or search for another game.

1. After you select Quick Match on the Xbox Live screen, the game immediately searches for a match for you to play.
   • If any games are found, press the press the A button to join that game.
   • If no games are found, you receive the following message: No sessions matching search criteria found. Create a session?
2. Press the A button for No or press the D-pad up or down to select Yes, and then press the A button to return to the Xbox Live screen.

OptiMatch

You can use the OptiMatch option to specify your game preferences, and then search for games that match those preferences.

1. After you select OptiMatch on the Xbox Live screen, you view the Pick Search Options screen. On the Pick Search Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the D-pad left or right to select the setting for that option:
   • Max Players: Any, 2 - 32
   • AI Units Per Team: Any, 0 - 16
   • Team Damage: Any, Off, On
   • Aim Assist: Any, Off, On
   • Show Players Names: Any, Off, On
   • Heroes: Any, Off, On
   • Teams: Any, Player Select, Auto Assign
   • AI Difficulty Level: Any, Normal, Elite
   • Dedicated Host: Any, Off, On
   • Era: Any, Clone Wars, Galactic Civil War
2. After you configure your options, press the A button to search for a game.
3. If any games are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the game that you want to join, and then press the A button to join that game.
   
   If no games are found, you receive the following message: No sessions matching search criteria found. Create a session?
4. Press the A button for No or press the D-pad up or down to select Yes, and then press the A button to return to the Xbox Live screen.
