SYMPTOMSWhen you wake the computer from hibernation or
from standby, the display may not turn on.CAUSEThis problem occurs because some programs try to prevent the computer from turning off the display, from going into hibernation, or from going into standby. These programs include backup utilities and programs for burning discs. If you force the computer to go into hibernation or to go into standby when one of these programs is running, the display may not turn back on when you wake the computer.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, restart the computer. To do this, press CTRL+ESC, press U, press R, and
then press ENTER.
Note Another way to restart the computer is to press and hold the computer's power button until the
computer turns off. However, files on your computer may be damaged if you use this method.
