As a parent, guardian, or adult, you can restrict your underage child from creating Xbox Live memberships without your consent.

To restrict creating Xbox Live memberships, follow these steps:
  1. Press the Xbox Guide button.
  2. In the System section, select Family Settings.
  3. Select Console Controls.
  4. Select Xbox Live Membership Creation.
  5. The default setting is Allowed. If you want to restrict this activity, select Blocked.
  6. Select Done to leave Console Controls.
Note The Xbox Live Membership Creation setting may not be temporarily overridden by entering the Family Settings Pass Code. If you want to create an Xbox Live membership, you must change the setting to Allowed.
