Xbox: How to host a Rainbow Six: Lockdown game on Xbox Live (908046)

Rainbow Six: Lockdown is an Xbox Live Aware title. Live Aware means that you are automatically signed in to Xbox Live when the game starts.

Host a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Multiplayer, and then press the A button.
2. On the Multiplayer screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button.
3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Create Match, and then press the A button.

Create a game session

When you create a game session, you become the host player. Then, you can configure the properties for the match.

1. On the Create Match screen, press the D-pad up or down to select the following options, and then press the A button to view the Create Match Option screen:
   • Find Match
   • Squad Skirmish
     
     Note You must be a member of a squad before you can select this option.
2. On the Create Match Option screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options.
   
   Note Press the A button to select the setting that you want for each option.
   • P.E.C. Mode: Yes, No
   • Server Type: Dedicated, Not Dedicated
   • Oversized: Yes, No
   • Allow Voice: All, Yes, No
   For the following options, press the A button, and then press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for each option. After you configure the options, press the A button again to return to the Find Match Option screen.
   • Minimum Players: 2 - 16
   • Maximum Players: 0 - 15
   For the following options, press the A button, and then press the D-pad up or down to select the setting that you want for each option. After you configure the options, press the A button again to return to the Find Match Option screen.
   • Game Mode: All, All Cooperative, All Adversarial, Total Conquest, Retrieval, Team Survival, Mission, Terrorist Hunt, Team Sharpshooter
   • Language: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese
3. After you configure your options, press the D-pad up or down to select Next, and then press the A button to view the Map Selection screen.
4. On the Map Selection screen, press the D-pad to select the map that you want to use, and then press the A button to continue to the Lobby screen to wait for other players to join your game.

Invite a Friend

1. On the Lobby screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Community, and then press the A button.
2. On the Community screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Friends, and then press the A button.
3. On the Friends screen, press the D-pad up or down to select a Friend, and then press the A button to view the Individual Friend screen.
4. On the Individual Friend screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Invite To Play This Game, and then press the A button to send a game invitation to your Friend.
