Xbox: How to join a Rainbow Six: Lockdown game on Xbox Live (908045)

Rainbow Six: Lockdown is an Xbox Live Aware title. This means that the game automatically signs you in to Xbox Live when the game starts.

Join a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Multiplayer, and then press the A button.
2. On the Multiplayer screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button.
3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Quick Match or OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

You can use the Quick Match option to search for a game and then decide whether to join the game immediately or search for another game.

1. The game immediately searches for game to play after you select Quick Match on the Xbox Live screen.
   • If any games are found, pull the left or right triggers to view the details of the game, and then press the A button to join that game.
   • If no games are found, you receive the following message: No matches Found. Press the Y button to create a match.
2. Press the Y button to create a match or press the B button to return to the Xbox Live screen.

OptiMatch

You can use the OptiMatch option to specify your game preferences and then search for games that match those preferences.

1. After you select OptiMatch on the Xbox Live screen, you view the Match Options screen. On the Match Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select the following options, and then press the A button to view the Find Match Option screen.
   • Find Match
   • Squad Skirmish
     Note You must be a member of a squad before you can select this option.
2. On the Find Match Option screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options.

   Note Press the A button to select the setting that you want for each option.

   • P.E.C. Mode: All, Yes, No
   • Server Type: All, Dedicated, Not Dedicated
   • Oversized: Yes, No
   • Allow Voice: All, Yes, No
   For the following options, press the A button, and then press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for each option. After you configure the options, press the A button again to return to the Find Match Option screen.
   • Minimum Players: 0 - 15
   • Maximum Players: 1 - 16
   For the following options, press the A button, and then press the D-pad up or down to select the setting that you want for each option. After you configure the options, press the A button again to return to the Find Match Option screen.
   • Game Mode: All, All Cooperative, All Adversarial, Total Conquest, Retrieval, Team Survival, Mission, Terrorist Hunt, Team Sharpshooter
   • Language: All, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese
3. After you configure your options, press the D-pad up or down to select Accept, and then press the A button to search for a game.
4. If any games are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the game that you want to join, and then press the A button to join that game.
   
   If no games are found, you receive the following message: No matches Found. Press the Y button to create a match.
5. Press the Y button to create a match or press the B button to return to the Xbox Live screen.
