You typically experience this problem when you send e-mail messages to recipients who are in a European country, such as Germany.CAUSEThis problem occurs because when you send e-mail messages by using Microsoft CRM 1.2 or by using the Outlook client, the outgoing e-mail messages are encoded with the default code page of UTF-8. In some countries, a different code page is used. Additionally, some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) do not support UTF-8 encoded e-mail messages. Therefore, e-mail messages do not appear correctly if the messages contain extended characters, such as letters that have an umlaut. Instead, the extended characters appear as unrecognizable characters. In some European countries, such as Germany, one of the following Western European code pages is typically used: RESOLUTIONWarning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
