SYMPTOMS

On a Microsoft Media Center Extender for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you cannot use the Media Center Extender remote to type uppercase letters on an extender device. Therefore, you may be unable to access resources such as Online Spotlight when the following conditions are true:
  • A password is required.
  • The password contains uppercase letters.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a keyboard to type capital letters.
