Event ID 9555 is logged without cause in Exchange Server (904945)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you try to recover a deleted public folder by using the Recover Deleted Items command in Microsoft Outlook, the following event may be logged in the Application log in a Microsoft Exchange Server organization:Event ID : 9555
Category : General
Source : MSExchangeIS Mailbox Store
Type : Error
Computer : Server_Name
Description : Corrupt Message detected during MoveMailbox. Fid = 2-110F8073 ; Mid = 1-A8DDE38 ;
Some or all properties of this message will not be moved correctly. The message in the event is misleading because the message refers to a move mailbox operation that you did not perform.

WORKAROUND

You can safely ignore event ID 9555. There are no adverse effects that are associated with this event being logged.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
