You may receive a "STOP 0x000000C2 BAD_POOL_CALLER" error message when you use ATM network services in Windows 2000 (900623)

SYMPTOMS

in Microsoft Windows 2000, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following when you use asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network services:
STOP 0x000000C2 BAD_POOL_CALLER (0x00000007, 00000b8a, 8479ae80, 8479ae88)
In this error message, the parameters after "0x00000007" vary.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a race condition that occurs in the ATM local area network (LAN) emulation device driver (Atmlane.sys).
