You receive a "The server encountered a transport error while processing the messaging port" error message when you try to send a document by using the HTTP transport in BizTalk Server 2000 and in BizTalk Server 2002 (899764)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 and in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002, when you try to send a document by using the HTTP transport, you receive a Error event in the Application log that is similar to the following:
An error occurred in BizTalk Server.

The server encountered a transport error while processing the messaging port "HTTPSendPort", which uses a transport component with a ProgID of "BizTalk.SendHTTPX.1".

A transmission attempt failed.
Note In this error message, ServerName is the name of the server, BizTalkWebSite is the name of the BizTalk Server Web site, and HTTPSendPort is the send port.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Receivestandard.asp file has been modified and a Microsoft Visual Basic script (VBScript) compiler error occurs.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Open the Receivestandard.asp file directly in Internet Explorer. To do this, visit a URL that is similar to the following:

    http://ServerName/BizTalkWebSite/Receivestandard.asp

    Note In this URL, ServerName is the name of the server, and BizTalkWebSite is the name of the BizTalk Server Web site.

    When you open the Web page, notice the details of the VBScript compiler error message.
