You receive an error message after you install Windows SharePoint Services on a computer that is running the Speech Engine Service for MSS 2004 (899312)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the client prompt control to access the Lobby.asmx file after you install Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services on a computer that is running the Speech Engine Service for Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) 2004, the requestHost.IndexOf(".") function throws an exception from the speech console debugger. You receive the following error message:
SpeechConsole Info: <Prompt: Error (-1) Generic Error : The request failed with HTTP status 404: . (System.Net.WebException)>
Note The Lobby.asmx file is typically located in the http://servername/SES/lobby.asmx folder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove Windows SharePoint Services from the computer that is running the Speech Engine Service for MSS 2004.
