The page status does not change to Published in Content Management Server 2002 (899299)

  • Microsoft Content Management Server 2002

SYMPTOMS

When an editor tries to approve a page, save a page, or submit a page in Microsoft Content Management Server 2002, the page status does not change to Published.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the timestamp on the server that is running Content Management Server is not synchronized with the timestamp on the server that is running Microsoft SQL Server. In Content Management Server, timestamps are used in the workflow process. If the timestamps are not synchronized, the page status may not be correct.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, you must synchronize the timestamp on both servers. To do this, run the net time /SET command at a command prompt on both servers. For example, if you have a domain controller that is named MyDC, run the following command at a command prompt:

net time /SET /Y /DOMAIN:MyDC

Note The /SET option synchronizes the time. The /Y option suppresses the confirmation. The /DOMAIN: option specifies the domain name.
