MORE INFORMATION

The value of the variable that tracks the number of threads that update the LDAP referral list can be set to a value other than 0 (zero) by a race condition. A race condition sometimes occurs when the computer tries to perform two or more operations at the same time. However, the nature of the operations requires that the operations be performed in sequence.
