You cannot access the MSDN Library from the IDE that is included with Visual Studio .NET 2003 (897302)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot access the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Library from the IDE that is included with a retail version of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the installed version of the MSDN library is dated January 2003. This version of the MSDN library does not integrate with Visual Studio .NET 2003 retail products.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install a Visual Studio .NET 2003 version of the MSDN Library that is dated April 2003 or a later date.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
