SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project Access (PWA), you cannot limit the total number of hours that a resource submits on all tasks on a per-user basis as a Microsoft Project Server 2003 administrator. However, PWA will let a Project Server 2003 administrator limit how many hours a resource can submit per day for a single task.

To limit the total number of hours per day a resource can submit on a per-task basis, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to PWA as an administrator.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. Click Customize Project Web Access.
  4. Under Time period settings, type the number of hours in the Maximum number of hours that can be entered per day for a single task (enter '0' for no limit) box.
  5. Click Save Changes.
