Hotfix information
A supported
hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the
problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are
experiencing this specific problem.
To resolve this problem, contact

Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for
support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines
that a specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the
specific update in question.
Prerequisites
You must have SMS 2.0 Service Pack 5 (SP5) installed before you
apply this hotfix.
Restart requirement
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this
hotfix.
Hotfix replacement information
This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
File information
The English version of this hotfix has the file
attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table.
The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time
(UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To
find the difference between UTC and local time, use the
Time
Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

Installation instructions
To install this hotfix, follow these steps:
- Create a shared folder in a location that can be accessed
by the SMS site servers.
- Copy the FeaturePack1.0MR3-KB896681-X86-ENU.exe hotfix file
to the new shared folder.
- On each SMS primary and secondary site server in your
environment, log on by using an account that has administrative
credentials.
- Close the SMS Administrator Console if it is open.
- On each primary site server, connect to the shared folder
that contains the hotfix, double-click the
FeaturePack1.0MR3-KB896681-X86-ENU.exe hotfix file, and then follow the
instructions in the wizard.
Note This hotfix removes tools
and files that are related to the SMS 2.0 International Client Pack (ICP). If you want to
install the hotfix file on an ICP SMS 2.0 site, you must re-install the SMS 2.0
ICP after you apply this hotfix.
