This article describes how to use the Internet Audio Broadcasting feature in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005. The Internet Audio Broadcasting feature uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

To use the Internet Audio Broadcasting feature in Live Meeting 2005, you must first enable the Internet Audio Broadcasting feature in a new meeting or in a scheduled meeting. Then, you must start the Internet Audio Broadcast.

To enable the Internet Audio Broadcasting feature in Live Meeting 2005, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to Live Meeting 2005.
  2. Either create a new meeting or change a scheduled meeting:
    • To create a new meeting, follow these steps:
      1. Under Meet, click Schedule Meeting.
      2. On the Schedule Meeting page, click Meeting Options.
    • To change a scheduled meeting, follow these steps:
      1. Under Manage, click Meetings.
      2. Locate and then click the meeting that you want to change.
      3. On the Meeting Details page, click Meeting Options under Actions.
  3. On the Meeting Options page, click Audio.
  4. In the This meeting uses box, click Live Meeting with audio conferencing.
  5. In the Conferencing provider box, click the provider that you want to use.

    Note Only conferencing providers that are compatible with Live Meeting 2005 are supported by the Internet Audio Broadcasting feature.
  6. Click to select the Enable Internet Audio Broadcasting (invitations sent to attendees will not include phone information) check box.
  7. Click OK.
  8. If this is a new meeting, click Save on the Schedule Meeting page.
To start the Internet Audio Broadcast in your Live Meeting 2005 meeting, follow these steps:
  1. Join the meeting as a Presenter.
  2. Connect to the conference call as a Presenter or a Leader.
  3. On the Audio menu in your meeting console, click Start Internet Audio Broadcast.
Note When an attendee joins the meeting, it may take several seconds before the attendee's meeting console connects to the audio component of your meeting.
