SYMPTOMS

You cannot load or register 32-bit extension .dll files for the Microsoft Windows 64-bit Fax service on computers that use 64-bit processors.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the 32-bit version of the Fax Routing Extension and the 32-bit Fax Service Provider (FSP) cannot be registered by the FaxRegisterRoutingExtension and FaxRegisterServiceProvide functions. These functions are used by the Windows 64-bit Fax service.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
