High-speed CardBus device runs slower after you resume a Windows XP-based computer from standby or from hibernation (895540)

SYMPTOMS
After you resume a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer from standby or from hibernation, some high performance PC Card (PCMCIA) devices may not work correctly. For example, a high-speed CardBus universal serial bus (USB) host controller may run slower.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the device no longer uses bursting after you resume the computer from standby or from hibernation.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, restart the computer.
