Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2000 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2000 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

When you try to delete records by running a Delete Transact-SQL statement in Microsoft SQL Server 2000, you receive the following error message:
Server: Msg 601, Level 12, State 6, Procedure testprocess, Line 7 Could not continue scan with NOLOCK due to data movement.
You experience this problem when you use the default transaction isolation level. The default transaction isolation level is the READ COMMITTED isolation level.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Restart information

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, the hotfix installation stops and then restarts the MSSQLSERVER service.

You do not have to change the registry.
