Issues that are fixed in this hotfix rollup package

The following issue is fixed in this hotfix rollup package:

892256 FIX: A memory leak occurs in the EventSystem service when you use COM+ LCE

The following issues are also fixed in this hotfix rollup package. These issues were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
  • If you call the Dispose method on a serviced component while the component's transaction is in an aborted state, a ComException (CONTEXT_E_ABORTING) is thrown. When this problem occurs, you receive the following error message:
You made a method call on a COM+ component that has a transaction that has already aborted or in the process of aborting. 8004e003 -2147164157
  • You experience a memory leak, and Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) stops responding under conditions of high stress. Typically, you may experience this problem when you are using the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for MQSeries.
  • A deadlock condition may occur in MSDTC when the WaitForSingleObject function is called from a Single Threaded Apartment (STA) thread.
  • If you call the GetClipboardData function to retrieve the contents of the clipboard, and the clipboard uses the OwnerLink data format, the function returns null.
  • An access violation (C0000005) occurs if you call the CoWaitForMultipleHandles function before you call either the CoInitialize function or the CoInitializeEx function.

Note There is no requirement that either the CoInitialize function or the CoInitializeEx function be called before you call the CoWaitForMultipleHandles function. This hotfix corrects this problem.
