You cannot create a custom profile for the SideWinder game pad Pro in versions of Windows later than Windows 98 (894506)

SYMPTOMS

If you install the Microsoft SideWinder game pad Pro on a Microsoft Windows operating system other than Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98, you cannot create a custom profile to program the buttons and triggers for your favorite games.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Microsoft SideWinder Game Controller software for the SideWinder game pad Pro is not available for versions of Windows that are later than Windows 98.
