SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • On a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, the Security policy processing policy is enabled.
  • The Process even if the Group Policy objects have not changed option is selected.
A memory leak occurs. If the Group Policy Objects (GPOs) are forced to update every five minutes, the memory leak becomes faster. Eventually, the computer stops responding.
