SYMPTOMS

When you use the StringTokenizer.countTokens method to obtain the number of tokens in the StringTokenizer class, an internal exception may occur, and application performance may decrease in Visual J# .NET Redistributable Package 1.1. Typically, the application continues to run and recovers from the internal exception before the application returns the number of tokens.

RESOLUTION

Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
