FIX: The BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.0 incorrectly uses the local time instead of UTC time in the DateTimeStamp fields of RosettaNet messages (890928)

SYMPTOMS

When the Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.0 generates a RosettaNet message, it incorrectly uses the local time instead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the DateTimeStamp fields of all the following message parts:
  • The Preamble
  • The Delivery Header
  • The Service Header

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Server 2004 service pack that contains this hotfix.

Hotfix installation information

After you install this hotfix, you must update your RosettaNet database. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start SQL Query Analyzer.
  2. Connect to the instance of Microsoft SQL Server where your RosettaNet databases are stored.
  3. Open the Btarndata_logic.sql file that is included with this hotfix.

    Note If you use a different name for your database instead of the default name of BTARNDATA, you must change the first line of the Btarndata_logic.sql script. In this scenario, change USE BTARNData to USE YourDatabaseName.
  4. From SQL Query Analyzer, run the SQL Server query.
