SYMPTOMSDisabled COM add-ins affect the functionality of Microsoft Office Outlook Connector. Therefore, when COM add-ins are disabled, Outlook Connector may not function as you expect. Some symptoms of this issue include the following: - The Outlook Connector menu does not appear.
- The status bar does not function correctly.
CAUSEThis issue may occur after Microsoft Outlook repeatedly crashes. When Outlook repeatedly crashes, some COM add-ins may be disabled. The disabled COM add-ins affect the functionality of Outlook Connector.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, enable the disabled COM add-ins.
To find the COM add-ins that are installed on your computer, follow these steps: - Start Outlook.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Other tab, click Advanced Options.
- In the Advanced Options dialog box, click COM Add-Ins.
To enable the disabled COM add-ins, follow these steps: - On the Help menu, click About Microsoft Office Outlook.
- In the About Microsoft Office Outlook dialog box, click Disabled Items.
- Click a COM add-in, and then click Enable.
If the issue that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section is not resolved after you enable the COM add-ins, you may have to reset the load behavior of Outlook Connector. To do this, follow these steps:
