SYMPTOMS

The Tablet PC Input Panel is not displayed in Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC-based computer.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because OneNote 2003 SP1 has added a new option, the Show Tablet PC Input Panel on OneNote pages option. This option lets you decide whether you want to display the Input Panel in OneNote or.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu in OneNote, click Options.
  2. Click to select the Show Tablet PC Input Panel on OneNote pages check box, and then click OK.
