Xbox: How to Join an Xbox Live game in Dead or Alive Ultimate (889063)

Join a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) left or right to select DoA Online, and then press the A button to view the Xbox Live Sign In screen.
2. On the Xbox Live Sign In screen, use the D-pad to select the appropriate account to sign in to Xbox Live, and then press the A button to view the Xbox Live screen.
3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad left or right to select Quick Match or OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

With the Quick Match option, you can search for a game session and then decide whether to join the game immediately or search for another session.

1. When you select Quick Match on the Xbox Live screen, the game immediately starts searching for game session for you join.
   • If a game session is found, the Quick Match screen lists the game information. Press the A button to join the game.
   • If no game session is found, you receive the following message: No game found.
2. Press the Y button to create a game session, press the X button to search again, or press the B button to return to the Xbox Live screen.

OptiMatch

With the OptiMatch option, you can specify your game preferences and then search for games that match those preferences.

1. On the OptiMatch screen, press the D-pad up or down to select any one of the following options, and the press the A button to view that option's screen.
   • Search Session
   • Game Title: Any, Dead or Alive 1, Dead or Alive 2
   • Grade: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS
   • Game Mode: Any, Winner-Stays, Tournament, Team Battle, Survival, Loser-Stays, Kumite
   • Battle Type: Any, Single Battle, Tag Battle
   • Voice Chat: Any, Don't Care, No
   • Language: Don't Care, English
2. On the next screen, press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for the option, and then press the A button to return to the OptiMatch screen.
3. After you configure your options, press the D-pad up or down to select Search Session, and then press the A button to search for a game session.
   • If any game sessions are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the session that you want to join, and then press the A button to join that game.
   • If no game sessions are found, you receive the following message: No game found.
4. Press the Y button to create a game session, press the X button to search again, or press the B button to return to the Xbox Live screen.
