Error reading registry
Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Press Interactive Training
CAUSEThis issue occurs when one of the registry subkeys for Step
by Step Interactive Training is damaged.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow these steps. Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft
cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry
Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. - Quit all programs that are running.
- Click Start, click Run, type
regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following subkey in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Microsoft\windows\current
version\uninstall\Microsoft Press Interactive Training
- On the File
menu, click Export.
- Name the file OffTrainingBkUp.reg,
and then click Save.
- On the Edit
menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
- Locate and then click the following subkey in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\Microsoft\Microsoft Press
Interactive Training - On the Edit
menu, click Rename, change Microsoft Press Interactive Training to
Old Microsoft Press Interactive Training, and then press
ENTER.
- Quit Registry Editor.
- Start Windows Explorer.
- Locate the following folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Mspress.
- Rename the Mspress folder to
OldMspress.
- Install Step by Step Interactive Training again.
