Memory size information does not appear correctly in System Properties in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (888664)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a computer that is running the Finnish version of Microsoft Windows XP, Total physical memory that appears in System Properties may not be correct or may not appear.

WORKAROUND

You can use either of the following methods to obtain Total physical memory memory size information:

Method 1

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Information.

Method 2

Click Start, click Run, type Msinfo32.exe, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
