Menu text and icons do not change after you try to change font and icon size by using the Accessibility Wizard in Windows XP (888576)



The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Accessibility Wizard in Microsoft Windows XP to increase the font size and the icon size, the change does not affect the icon size or the text size of the following menu items:
  • All Programs
  • Recycle Bin
  • Microsoft Windows Explorer Menu bar
Note To start the Accessibility Wizard, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click Accessibility Wizard.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Accessibility Options.
  3. Under Pick a Control Panel icon, click Accessibility Options.
  4. On the Display tab, click to select the Use High Contrast check box, and then click Settings.
  5. Under High contrast appearance scheme, click Windows Standard (large), and then click OK.
  6. Click OK to close the Accessibility Options dialog box.
