FIX: The interchanges in the Retry queue may not be processed when you upgrade a computer that is running BizTalk Server 2002 to BizTalk Server 2002 Service Pack 1 (888134)

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 to BizTalk Server 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1), the interchanges in the Retry queue may not be processed during the time period of 00:00 through 01:00.

However, the interchanges in the Retry queue are processed after 01:00, depending on the retry interval that you specified and on the retry count that remains.

Installation instructions

To apply this hotfix, follow these steps:
  1. Extract the hotfix file to a location that can be accessed by the computer that hosts the Shared Queue database. For example, extract the hotfix file to a shared network folder.
  2. Log on to the computer that hosts the Shared Queue database by using an account that has administrative rights and permissions. The name of the Shared Queue database is InterchangeSQ.
  3. Click Start, point to Programs, click Microsoft SQL Server, and then click Query Analyzer.
  4. In the Connect to SQL Server dialog box, click (local) in the SQL Server list, and then click OK.
  5. In SQL Query Analyzer, click File, and then click Open.
  6. In the Open Query File dialog box, locate the extracted hotfix files, click RetryQueueHotfix1390.sql, and then click Open.
  7. In SQL Query Analyzer, click InterchangeSQ in the database list.
  8. To test the SQL script, click Parse Query. Then, to run the SQL script, click Execute Query.
  9. Quit SQL Query Analyzer.
